Today’s post is all about what is in my beach bag. I’m participating in Boohoo.com What’s In My Beach Bag campaign. For most of the country summer is coming to a sad end, however in Miami, the weather is just getting better and better! We’re nearly always at the beach. So in celebration of our endless days of summer here’s a little look into my beach bag must haves!
What’s in My Beach Bag
Something to Read
I’m really loving this new book called The Power of Habit. It’s all about how your habits become automatic and goes on to give you tips on changing your habits. Every thing you do every day is mostly on autopilot this book will show you how you’ve fallen into these habits and teach you how to train your brain to adopt new more positive ones to over power negative habits in you life. This is a book for everyone!
Get a really huge white breathable sun hat and load up on sunscreen! My favorite is this cool tinted CC cream from Peter Thomas Roth. I love it because it gives you coverage, doesn’t make your face have a white sheen, and it really keeps my skin from burning. I also love the other skincare benefits. It’s an everyday product for me! For all over the body I use Honest sunscreen which I’ve never had any problems with but it does give you that white sheen. It’s just a more affordable option for the whole body.
Just like your skin need to protect those peepers! I love white sunnies right now and I always go for something polarized when I can.
Statement Jewelry Piece
I don’t like to wear a lot of jewelry when I’m at the beach. It can get lost and be uncomfortable. However, I love having one chunky statement bracelet.
The beach is a great place to exfoliate! Grab a handful of wet sand and scrub a dub dub all over. The best scrub nature ever made is free for the taking. I also something will put on a nice mask and relax under the shade.
It’s more covered up than a traditional bikini, but somehow sexier! It covers your tummy ever so slightly, but just enough to make you comfortable. I’m just crazy for monokinis’. Please don’t let these ever go out of style!
What Miami Beach I Love
My favorite beach to beat the crowds and always get a rental chair and umbrella is Key Biscayne beach by the lighthouse. You can rent two chairs and a huge umbrella for like $30 or a little less. Trust me it’s worth it! There is always parking and you only need to pay a small fee to enter the area per car.
