Today I’m doing a review on the Try The World Thailand Box. This box is packed with adventure, so I made hubs and baby girl join in on the fun. I hope you enjoy my Try The World Thailand Box Review!
The box has tons of interesting items from Thailand. It includes many I would never have even heard about! The handy card details each item and gives you ideas and recipes. We loved learning about Thailand.
Thai Iced Tea
We began our adventure with the Thai Iced Tea. I’ve had Thai Iced Tea many times before and I’ve always had it the same way…with condensed milk on ice. This time I brewed the tea and mixed it with frothed milk and heavy cream. I decided to keep it warm. Yeah that’s not what you’re supposed to do, but whatever. I loved it and best of all I sweetened it up with another item from the box…. the Coconut Flower Syrup. Before I get into that, we boiled water on the stove and steeped for about 4 minutes. You can also use the included strainer (very cool by the way) and hold it over a glass while you pour the boiling water through it. I just wasn’t sure about it so I ended up doing it on the stove and then pouring it through the strainer into my double walled insulated glass.
Again it’s supposed to be served cold, but I was feeling a little sick and wanted to stick to warm beverages. It tasted awesome, so no regrets. My husband did have his cold and was equally happy.
Coconut Flower Syrup
Back to the Coconut Flower Syrup. It was very sweet and I think it works well as a sweetener when you pour it in something warm. I would also like to use it on toast in place of honey. I think it could be thought of a honey replacement. It’s a common Thai sweetener and this one is hand-harvested made by collecting nectar that flows from coconut blossoms when they are cut.
Tom Yum Soup
Included in the Thailand box was a Tom Yum Soup Set. We used this for a late night dinner after little nugget when to bed. All we added were mushrooms, fresh lime juice, and chicken. The rest was included in the set. They did say you can add Fish Sauce if you have it. Normally I do (because I happen to be obsessed with Tom Ka Gai Soup), but unfortunately I was out. Here’s darling hubs deboning the chicken for us.
The only thing I would do differently next time would be to remove all the large spices before serving, and remove most of the chili peppers before cooking. We thought we could take it, but whoa they are hot, hot, hot! It gives a nice kick, so I wouldn’t want to remove all of them…just most of them.
When all was said and done we had a large lovely bowl of soup each. We did eat it up pretty fast I must say. Perfect for a date night in! (Because we’re parents and never leave the house after bedtime lol)
Soft Dried Jackfruit
Baby girl helped me out again with the tasty Thai snacks. We started with the Soft Dried Jackfruit. This is a favorite that locals eat fresh or dried throughout the day. Babes loved licking them lol. She didn’t want to chew them, but she did want to lick all the yumminess from them.
Taro Chips
Next up were the Taro Chips. These she liked too. She kept calling them potato chips and looked at me like I was crazy when I attempted to correct her.
Coconut Crispy Rolls
After she tried these everything else suddenly didn’t matter. She was all about these babies. I can’t blame her, they are delicious!
We are still not done trying everything from our Thai box! We have to make the Jasberry Rice (organic and non-gmo yassssss!). It’s a new strain of rice packed with antioxidants and fiber…also fair trade. I’m excited!
My husband is excited to try out the Green Curry Paste. He is always buying different curries to try.
It was another fabulous and fun adventure thanks to our Try The World Thailand Box. We hope we’ve inspired you to try new things and let your taste buds be your guide!

All these goodies look amazing! The Coconut Flower syrup sounds heavenly and I LOVE Tom Yum soup! Is each box a different country?
Yup! Each box is a totally different country with strange foods and recipes to try. It’s kinda awesome.
Wow! Everything sounds amazing. I want to try that Thai Iced Tea (love that glass by the way). You have an adorable little model 😉
Thanks girl! That’s my favorite glass too. Love double walled glasses. 😉
I LOVE Thai Iced Tea- I wouldn’t have shared it LOL and my girls would have been all over the dried fruit. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Angelica! The Thai Iced Tea was all sorts of amazing. I need to order more 😉
I enjoyed your post, beautiful pictures. I have always been afraid to try Thai food but it looks like I might enjoy a few things from their cuisine.
Oh Maria, you’ll love it. I just tried the black jasberry rice today and it didn’t make it out of the rice cooker before it was gone. Love that it’s packed with tons more antioxidants than regular rice. Amazed it tasted even better.
Great tips! I just stumbled onto this page, I will save this website and drop regularly. Now, can you please tell me where you purchased this cute little strainer, and what company manufactors it (brand name)???
Thank you so much.
