Today’s addition to the 2016 gift guide is my favorite. The perfect gift, Try The World Michelin Box. It’s a limited time special addition box just in time for the holidays. Try The World regularly uses Michelin chefs to curate their wonderful boxes. This box is a mix of the favorite items of Michelin chef, Thomas Raquel of the 3 Michelin star Le Bernardin in New You. He shares some of his favorite holiday recipes. Talk about the perfect gift! Little monster usually does the honors of opening the box with me, but she fell and had a HUGE bruise on her face when I did the photos. It’s all better now, but it would have been too distracting from the goodness in this box. So hubs quickly used it as an opportunity to get first bites.
What’s Inside The Try The World Michelin Box
Giuliano Tartufi | Italy
Spread onto a crostini, fold into omelettes or use the recipe in the box.
Yoffi | Isreal
Dates area symbol of luck and a popular holiday food.
Pain D’Epices Baking Mix
Marlette | France
Serve with pate or top with jam for breakfast.
En Luen | Taiwan
I miss Taiwan everyday. If you think France as the best pastries you need to go to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Serve with tea, or gift to a friend for good luck.
Sprucewood Handmade Cookie Co. | Canada
Rich with butter, shortbread was once an expensive treat reserved for the holidays. (Imagine now I eat them everyday lol). Dip into coffee, top on ice cream, or make a cookie sandwich.
Hot Chocolate Tablets
K’ekua | Mexico
Melt into hot milk, indulge in a post dinner dessert, mix with coffee for mocha
Fox Gourmet | United Kingdom
Mix into dessert, serve with scones, layer into parfait (this box comes with an awesome lemon soufflé recipe to use it with too!)
Darling Sweet | South Africa
Enjoy with cofffee, melt and drizzle over ice cream, or enjoy as a midnight snack.
Hubs decided to try the toffees first. Hard, gooey, and delicious. I’m still on a sugar fast, so I let him eat them all. He did enjoy them melted over ice cream. Which he ate right in front of me…slowly. ::grrr::
Next are my all time favorites, shortbread cookies!!!! YAYAYAYAYA!!! I was most painful to watch him eat these. Look how he really milked them for enjoyment. This sugar free cleanse is a killer. I’ll be done just in time for Thanksgiving when I’ll eat the rest of the box. Alone, in my closet. These look exactly like the shortbread cookies, but they are the little pineapple cakes with pineapple jam inside. Mmmm see that jam filling? That was little monster’s favorite part. So hubs had two and she at the rest of them. If you check back after the holidays, many of my holiday recap posts will have tons of items used from this box. I’m still on my very strict cleanse and diet, but it ends just in time for Thanksgiving. I’m finally going to be able to eat anything! (in moderation of course)
I’ve been saying no to sugar, gluten, peppers, dairy, grains of all kinds and on tons of supplements. There was even two weeks where I was also vegan. It’s amazing what they are doing with vegan cheese nowadays. I may never need to go back to regular cheese! The cleanse has three parts: Anti inflammation and immunity boasting, Gut balancing, and liver cleansing.
