I was cruising Instagram recently and came across Sakara. I ordered some of their organic plant based food products, and here’s my honest unsponsored Sakara Life review
Sakara has a subscription service, but as beautiful as it looked, the reviews on yelp for the service were not that great. It’s also unattainably expensive. Instead I decided to try some items from their shop.
Watermelon Seed Butter
This is the ONLY place I’ve found this product. I love how it’s in a glass jar, not plastic. It’s got tons of minerals and really tastes awesome. It’s not quite peanut butter, it’s more sticky. I just smear it on organic sprouted seed fiber packed toast and I’m good to go. A nice healthy staple.
Sakara Life Cookies Review
They have three kinds of organic plant based cookies. These are all pretty good raw foo cookies. The chocolate ones kinda melted a bit from the hot Florida sun during travel. Popped them in the fridge and we were good to go.
The sprouted seed butter cookies are AMAZING!!!! I would easily eat them all day long.
The red (Detox Tea Macaroon) ones are very raw coconut ball tasting. Those were my least favorite and I ended up not finishing them.
The chocolate ones are perfect for the chocolate lover and they have cardamom! I love cardamom! It takes a second, but you will probably love them too.
The Detox Bar
…has activated charcoal. The point of it is to bind to toxins and carry them out of the body. But be warned, do not take any vitamins or good things you want to absorb, at the same time. It will also bind to good things and take them out of the body. So just something to remember. It’s great if you’re feeling sick, had food poisoning, or anything like that. It’s got the charcoal crunch, but I could take it, so you can too. Imagine eating a bar of coffee grounds.
The Clarity Bar
A yummy mix of lemon with the added benefit of green coffee. A little too sweet for my taste, but doable.
The Beauty Bar
This one is tasty fun. I could eat this all the time. On the go, whatever. Sweet not but sickly give you diabetes sweet. Just nice.
